Blueprints of a Stitch Guide

Do you have that special canvas that you've been itching to start, but want to try some decorative stitches? Do you want to learn new stitches but you don't know where to begin or how to apply them to a canvas or design? Blueprints of a Stitch Guide is for you! Join Kathy and learn how to choose threads, stitches, and techniques as you construct your own stitch guide! (Three Class Series, Appx. 2 hours/ class)

If possible, send in a picture or bring your canvas to the shop before ___ for a few minutes of preliminary work with Kathy.

$95 (Stitchers are encouraged to bring personal supplies such as glasses, magnifiers, stands, scissors, etc.)

Introduction to Round Ornament Finishing
Ready to learn how to start finishing your own round needlepoint ornaments? Richmonder Jessica Tongel leads this "no fear" class and will have you feeling confident about tackling your first DIY finish. No needlepoint is harmed during this class! Stitchers will use blank canvas and pre-made custom cording. (Appx. 2hr)

$60 All Supplies Provided (If possible, please bring a pair of craft scissors.)

Intermediate Round Ornament Finishing*
You know the basics, but you're not quite ready to go off on your own. No problem! Richmonder Jessica Tongel leads this "part two" class and will guide you step-by-step through cutting around your stitched canvas, adding proper backing, and making your own cording. Stitchers will leave the class with a fully finished "cookie style" ornament. Cording Supplies Provided (Bring a completely stitched round "ornament size" needlepoint project and preferred fabric for backing).

*Beginner Round Ornament Finishing is a prerequisite for this class

Advanced Ornament Finishing Class**
Ready to move past round ornament finishing? Jessica tackles angles and more in this finishing class for ornaments in non-standard shapes. Please bring your stitched non-standard shape and the fabric for backing.

**Beginner Round Ornament Finishing is a prerequisite for this class and completion of several basic ornaments on your own or in the Intermediate Round Ornament Class is recommended as well.

Anna Clutch Finishing Class
Have you seen the Colors of Praise trend that has taken Needlepoint Fashion to the next level? Jessica will teach how to attach your canvas to the front of the Colors of Praise Anna Clutch. Please bring your stitched canvas as well as your Anna Clutch to class.

Tips, Tools, & Techniques

Tour our needlepoint tool kit during this hands-on class that addresses how to avoid common pitfalls, tests out stitching tools, and builds on the basics! It’s like “Needlepoint Tik Tok” but with real time feedback! (Appx. 2 hours, single session)

$30 - Bring a blank or scrap canvas on stretcher bars! Need supplies? Please plan on arriviving 30 minutes before class begins OR let us know when you sign up!

Optional: Purchase of tools and accessories introduced during class is completely optional!

Let's Doodle!

Join us in learning new stitches! We'll provide a class kit with threads and a "Doodle" canvas as well as stitch charts and diagrams! Once complete, your "Doodle Canvas" will become a stitch sampler that you can refer back to time and time again! (Appx. 2 hours, single session)
